  • Hired by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Sports Editor Bill Bradley during January 2022, then worked for Sports Editor Bill Eichenberger from August 2022 until October 2023. Most recently worked for Sports Editor Al Leiker and Assistant Sports Editors Jim Barnes and Ben Gotz. 
  • Beat included UNLV football and men's and women's basketball, the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA, contributing enterprise stories and general assignment sports work. 
  • Covered the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl at Allegiant Stadium. 
  • Led coverage for both the 2022 and 2023 men's and women's Mountain West basketball tournaments at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Also covered the UNLV Lady Rebels' NCAA Tournament appearances in Tucson, Ariz. in 2022 and Baton Rouge, La. in 2023. 
  • Covered the 2022 FC Series game between Chelsea FC and Club America, and the 2022 Soccer Champions Tour games which featured Juventus FC vs. Chivas Guadalajara and the El Clasico friendly between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona at Allegiant Stadium. Also covered the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Finals.  
  • Led the Review-Journal's coverage of the 2022 WNBA Finals, the first championship in Las Vegas Aces franchise history and the first major-league professional sports title in Las Vegas history. Also led the paper's coverage of the 2023 WNBA Finals as the Aces became the first team in WNBA history to repeat as champions since the 2000-01 Los Angeles Sparks.  
  • Helped cover the 2022 NBA Summer League at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center.
  • Led the Review-Journal's on-track coverage of the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, the inaugural Formula One race on the Las Vegas Street Circuit which marked F1's return to Las Vegas after 41 years. 
  • Covered the inaugural Super 16 Gymnastics Showcase, which featured Olympians Suni Lee and Jade Carey.

October 2021 - December 2021 | Indianapolis, Ind.

  • Interned for The Indianapolis Star during the fall of 2021 for Sports Director Jenny Green and Deputy Sports Editors Nat Newell and Matt Glenesk.
  • Worked as a general assignments sports reporter, covering the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Purdue University Boilermakers, Butler University Bulldogs, motorsports, enterprise stories and extensively writing about preps. 
  • Covered the IHSAA football state championships at Lucas Oil Stadium. 
  • Covered the 2021 Monon Bell Game between Wabash College and DePauw University in Crawfordsville, Ind., one of the oldest rivalries in college football. 
  • Helped with the coverage of the 2021 Crossroads Classic, the annual basketball showcase between Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue and Butler at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It was the final iteration of the event, which was cancelled after the 2021 season.  
  • Covered the IHSAA volleyball state championships at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. and covered the IHSAA tennis state championship in Carmel, Ind.

  • Interned for the Seattle Times during the summer of 2021, working for Sports Editor Paul Barrett, Assistant Sports Editors Sean Quinton and Kelly Ward and Sports Desk Supervisor Nathan Joyce. 
  • Served mainly as a general assignment sports reporter, helping cover several beats including the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Kraken, Seattle Sounders, Seattle Storm, OL Reign, Tacoma Rainiers, the University of Washington Huskies and preps while also writing enterprise stories and daily turnarounds during the 10-week internship.
  • Published an A1 Cover Story with fellow Seattle Times staffers Amanda Snyder and Daisy Zavala about Seattle's June 30 reopening.
  • Covered the 2021 NHL Seattle Expansion Draft and helped run live updates for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the first in Kraken franchise history.
  • Covered the 2021 WNBA Commissioner's Cup Final, the league's inaugural cup final.

  • Spent the summer following selection to the Sports Journalism Institute interning for The Denver Post, working with Sports Editor Scott Monserud and Deputy Sports Editors Matt Schubert and Lori Punko during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Covered several beats including the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, University of Colorado Buffaloes and preps, while also writing enterprise stories during the 10-week internship.
  • Published an A1 story on the postponement of high school football in Colorado during the pandemic. 
  • Interviewed Colorado Gov. Jared Polis about the resumption of non-contact High School sports. 

    Sports Editor, The Daily of the University of Washington

    • Served as Sports Editor of the Daily for one year, entirely during the COVID-19 Pandemic. 
    • Organized, managed, and edited staff of 10 writers while coordinating photographers for each event. Also produced a majority of the curated content and ran social media accounts for the section. 
    • Edited and assembled a Game Daily edition of The Daily in the middle of a pandemic. 
    • Coordinated and maintained relationships with UW Associate Athletic Directors, UW Sports Information Directors, and the rest of the UW Athletics Department for The Daily. 
    • Served as Assistant Sports Editor for Alec Dietz for one quarter before taking over role as SE.

    • Accumulated more than 300 clips while serving as the beat writer for several sports during four years with The Daily. 
    • Covered the UW baseball beat for four years.

    • Placed second nationally in the 2019 ACP Pacemaker Awards' Multimedia Sports Package Category for "Life of the Loyal Band: 48 Hours with the Husky Marching Band" along with photographer Conor Courtney and videographer Parker Singh.
    • Placed 13th in the Hearst Journalism Awards' sports writing competition in 2019-20 for his article "Ice Cream, candy, and Olympic gold: Three friends reunite at Washington" and placed 18th in the same event in 2020-21 for his piece "23rd and Welton: The last remnants of Denver's Japanese American Baseball Leagues."
    • Created and co-hosted "The Box Seat Podcast" with fellow Daily reporters Alec Dietz and Chris Angkico from January 2018 - February 2019. 
    • Wrote 25 articles as a contributor for Sports Editor Josh Kirshenbaum during the first quarter of freshman year before being hired to the staff full time. 
    • Additionally, had the opportunity to cover football, track and field, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, volleyball, men's tennis, gymnastics and the Husky Marching Band while at the University of Washington.
